The witch doctor has a history of 14,000 years if we count Huaca Prieta, which is one of the group of archaeological sites that exists and is part of the place where the Mochica settled on top of ancient pre-Mochica cultures that were later looted by the Spanish until being found by the archaeologists who protect this place today.

Magdalena de Cao is a Peruvian town, capital of the Magdalena de Cao district located in the Ascope province, La Libertad department. This town on the northern coast of Peru is located approximately 50 kilometers northwest of the city of Trujillo. About 5 kilometers west of this town is the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, which houses the remains of the Lady of Cao.

Magdalena de Cao is a town of Chimú origin, its Spanish foundation was carried out in 1538.
