Hiking Trips From Puerto Chicama
Looking for some adventure when there is not waves.
Our trips start in our location Chicama Surf Camp in Puerto Malabrigo.
We travel by bus 5 ours from Puerto Chicama to Moro Ancash Peru 50 km away from the coast, where the mountains are located and the trails to hike start.
Chicama surf camp have hiking this mountains many years looking for the pre Incas and Incas trails to cross the Andes and get the best of our land scape, history and culture in one trip that has not be popular for tourists.
If you are looking a uniques experience this is our recomendation
Our itinerary :
Day 1) We travel from Chicama Surf Camp 5 hours to get Paredones Ancash Peru.
Visit a organic farm having lunch with organic fruit from the farm, in the afternoon visit a archaeological site, dinner at night and tent on the farm
Day 2) Transfer by bus to see the Ice Pick from the black Cordillera to the White Cordillera trekking full day camping, breakfast, lunch and dinner (camping meals and lunch box) sleeping on tent
villa were the trails start to go up to mountains for 3
Day 3) trekking 5 hours to finish the trail and relax all the afternoong getting to know the town camping breakfast, peruvian lunch, traditional dinner.
Day 4) back to Puerto Chicama in different busses for 5 hours.
The History
We normally has a lot of waves all year around in Puerto Chicama but advance surfers are very picky some times and they to not know what to do in Puerto Malabrigo with small waves. This is the reason why we designed a tour to the mountain.
